• 4-H'er may enter only one unit (year), but may enter all classes within said unit.
• Projects must be done as specified in: 4-H Forestry Project Unit 1-Introducing Yourself to Trees" (4DF-01PA) or most recent version
• Exhibitor must comply with numbers of specimens listed for each class.
FIRST YEAR
703 Leaf Collection: Collection of 10 leaves representing 10 forest trees found in Kentucky. Mounting instructions found in activity #1 from above reference.
704 Leaf Print Collection: Collect and print 10 leaves representing 10 forest trees found in Kentucky. Instructions included in activity #3 from above reference.
SECOND YEAR
705 Leaf Collection- 2ndYear: Collection of 20 leaves representing 20 forest trees found in Kentucky and different from ones done by exhibitor in first year project. Mounting instructions found in above reference, activity #1.
706 Educational Exhibit: Develop a creative educational exhibit on some phase of forestry. The exhibit may utilize any visual technique. The total exhibit is not to exceed dimensions of 2'x2' or 4 square feet.
THIRD YEAR AND OVER
707 Educational Exhibit: Develop a creative educational exhibit on some phase of forestry. The exhibit may utilize any visual technique, The total exhibit is not to exceed dimensions of 3'x3', or 9 square feet.
708 Stem, Leaf, Fruit Display: Collect and mount 5 stems, leaves, and fruit representing 5 forest trees found in Kentucky. Closely follow instructions from above reference, activity #2, including 2'X3' exact size.
