4-H LEADERSHIP PROJECT
(Division 6041)

Requires Arts/Miscellaneous Record book.
• See General Rules applying to all 4H exhibitors and general rules applying to all 4H exhibits other than livestock.
• Exhibits must correspond to a project or activity from the Leadership (4H Step Up to Leadership and Unlock Your Leadership Potential) or Communications (4H Building Bridges) project books.
• The 4H ID CARD (4LO-11SO) should be securely attached to the outside lower right corner of first page.
• All pages should be identified with name, county, lot and class. Pages should be in plastic sheet protectors.
• One exhibit per 4Her in communication and one exhibit for leadership.
• Club is limited to one entry in the Club Scrapbook division.
• Exhibit must be in an 8 1/2" X 11" or 12" X 12" notebook or scrapbook format. Format will allow a Leadership or Communication Portfolio to be developed and kept over multiple years.
• Refer to the class entry to determine the required number of pages.
• Photos should clearly address the theme or activity corresponding to the selected leadership project or communication project. Photos should be explained with journaling captions. One or two paragraphs of narrative explaining the project or activity should be included on the scrapbook pages. Clearly indicate pages to be judged. Additional pages beyond those required by the project will not be reviewed.
• Each scrapbook page should contain the following:
1. 2 or more photos
2. each photo should be explained with captions
3. 1-2 paragraphs of narrative
4. No additional pages of narrative are needed
• Photos can be taken by the 4-Her or another person. The pictures should clearly address the Leadership or Communication project that is selected. Pictures may be cropped as desired.
• Pages will be scored on: organization of project (easy to follow), neatness, narrative content, caption content, photo content, and overall effectiveness.

COMMUNICATION
925 Junior Division: Communication Scrapbook Display-two page display of work completed by junior level member based on above criteria.
926 Senior Division: Communication Scrapbook Display-four page display of work completed by junior level member based on above criteria.

LEADERSHIP
Junior Level
927 9 year old: 2 pages based on criteria stated above
928 10 year old: 2 pages based on criteria stated above
929 11 year old: 2 pages based on criteria stated above
930 12 year old: 2 pages based on criteria stated above
931 13 year old: 2 pages based on criteria stated above
Senior Level
932 14 year old: 4 pages based on criteria stated above
933 15 year old: 4 pages based on criteria stated above
934 16 year old: 4 pages based on criteria stated above
935 17-18 year old: 4 pages based on criteria stated above
