2008 MISS KENTON COUNTY FAIR PAGEANT

**Again in 2008-NO PREREGISTRATION**
**RULE CHANGES #9 & #10 FOR 2008**

Teen Division – Event is Monday, July 14, 2008 - 6:00 p.m. - Entry Fee
$20.00 (cash or money order only) – Registration Sunday July 13 5:30 p.m.

Miss Division – Event is Monday, July 14, 2008 - 8:00 p.m. - Entry Fee
$25.00 (cash or money order only) – Registration Sunday July 13 5:30 p.m.

1. Contestant agrees to abide by all rules of the local and state contestants now in effect or as announced hereafter.
2. Contestant agrees that the time, manner and method of judging the contest shall be solely within the discretion of the Kenton County Fair Board and that the decision of the judges shall be final.
3. Contestant must be a resident of Kenton County.
4. A contestant, in Miss Division must have reached her 16th birthday and cannot have reached her 22nd birthday by October 31.
5. A contestant, in Teen Division must have reached her 13th birthday and cannot have reached her 16th birthday by October 31.
6. A contestant must be single, never married, never had a marriage annulled, and never had any children. (If elected Miss or Teen Miss Kenton County Fair this rule applies until after the state pageant.)
7. A contestant must not be a winner of another 2008 Kentucky County Fair.
8. The contestant must be of good moral character.
9. **RULE CHANGE FOR 2008** Miss Kenton County judging will be based on scores from interview, swim suit, and evening gown competition. For interview, contestants will wear a jacket over a dress, skirt or pants. Please select a one piece swim suit in a solid color for swim suit competition. Evening gown must be floor length. Interviews will start at 6:30 PM.
10.**RULE CHANGE FOR 2008** Teen Miss judging will be based on scores from personality, poise and appearance. For on stage introduction, contestant will choose a casual outfit. However, skirts, shorts and short dresses are excluded.
11. The winner must be available for remaining evenings of fair to award various prizes.
12. Miss Teen Contestants must be available for practice, Sunday, July 13th, from at 6:30 PM. Anyone missing this practice will not be permitted to compete in pageant and will forfeit the entry fee.

WINNER receives a crown, banner, and cash prize.
FIRST AND SECOND RUNNER-UP receives a trophy.
