4-H Rules and Regulations:


  1. All projects must follow the State Fair Rules to be eligible for entry at Kentucky State Fair.  Rules and requirements can be found at catalog website: Eligible champion 4H projects, excluding livestock, will be qualified to go to the Kentucky State Fair. The Kenton County Fair Association, Kentucky State Fair or Kenton County 4H, is not responsible for any lost or damaged articles including livestock.

  2. All animals must have a valid health certificate as per the health requirements of exhibition in Kentucky for fairground entry.

  3. To participate in State 4H activities, a person must comply with State 4H membership policy. Any questions regarding eligibility must be directed to the Kenton County Cooperative Extension Services at 356-3155.

  4. Entries open at 1:00 pm Sunday, July 9, 2017 and will close at 3:00 p.m. that same day.

  5. Exhibitors must pickup articles between 12:00 and 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 16, 2017.

  6. Fair exhibits must be picked up in two weeks at the Extension office. Unclaimed items dealt with accordingly.

  7. All vegetables will be disposed as deemed necessary by the Coordinator/Agent.

  8. If animals are left at the fair, the 4Her is responsible for all care and neither the Fair Board nor 4H is responsible for theft, illness or care.

  9. The decision of the judges is final.    

  10. Champion and Reserve Champion (Market animals) of all species must be left for exhibition at the Kenton County Fair, subject to the agreement of the buyer. Care and feeding must be done completely (daily) by the "former 4-H/FFA owner" by 5:00 p.m. each day.

  11.  All clubs must have their displays ready by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017.

  12.  To be eligible to exhibit at the Kenton County Fair, 4H members must complete Record Books according to county policy-see below. They must be logged in by a secretary, agent or record book committee volunteer at the Extension Office BEFORE 4:30 p.m.  FRIDAY JUNE 30, 2017 to be judged.  As always, record books will be accepted during office hours in the weeks prior to the deadline. If record books are not completed to satisfaction of judges, projects may be disqualified.

  13.  Projects must be work done by 4Her and completed since last year's Kenton County Fair.


  15. Premium offered-Blue not to exceed $20.00 depending on class and Danish system.
